Restoration is planned to preserve all original
features and elements. The aim of the architects who designed the
conversion is that the apartments should reflect as much of the
original character of the place as possible. Therefore all original
materials will be reused: THE THICK EXTERNAL WALLS built from the
same local stone of which the old house was built. The structure
of the ROOF made of chestnut beams which can be seen from inside
on the second floor + terracotta tiling; OLD FLOORS recreated with
terracotta tiles in traditional patterns, WINDOWS made of solid
wood frames including the shutters that are designed in the traditional
fashion, the windows are equipped with double glazing as a standard.
INTERIOR WALLS are built from local terracotta blocks and then plastered
and painted white; THE DOORS are made of solid wood in its natural
colour.
In each apartment it will be possible to have a stone fireplace
to complete the atmosphere of country living.
All plants and systems will be brought up to the highest standard.
Each apartment is designed to be fully independent (heating, electricity,
water, telephone). Each unit will have its own parking place located
near the entrance.
The apartments on the ground floor will have a private garden
easily reached from the living area. THE SWIMMING POOL, set near
the house in a secluded sunny area is shared by all the owners.
A management company will be appointed to take care of the maintenance
of the communal areas, garden and parking areas, as well as the
swimming pool and its surroundings.
The same company could also deal with the short or long term
rentals of the different units on behalf of those owners who will
live in the apartment only few months a year. This granting the
owners some income.
